From The Clinic To The Delivery room

Support at Every Stage

We care about your well-being and we’re here to support you through every reproductive stage of life, from puberty to pregnancy and menopause. We’re committed to giving our patients full-service, high level obstetric and gynecological support, including preventive care, gynecologic diagnoses and treatments, and helping families grow with comprehensive prenatal care and safe, healthy deliveries.

Vaginal & Cesarean Delivery

While most pregnancies progress naturally; we're here to guide you through a safe delivery and support you if any issues arise.

Postpartum Support

Our support continues beyond the delivery room, with follow-up check-ins on mom and baby to ensure a strong start to your parenthood journey.

Prenatal Care

Give yourself the best shot at a healthy pregnancy by starting prenatal care early. We'll be with you every step of the way until your little one is born.

Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery

A minimally invasive surgical technique used in the abdominal and pelvic areas, usually done for diagnostic purposes, to look for problems that imaging tests haven’t been able to identify.

Endometrial biopsies

This procedure may be done to help find the cause of certain symptoms you’re having, or diagnose conditions we suspect after seeing results from tests like an ultrasound or Pap smear.

Urogyn Prolapse

Pessary fittings, often called pessaries are comprised of a silicone ring that is inserted into the vagina to support tissues affected by a pelvic organ prolapse.

Pap Smears

A Pap smear, also called a Pap test, is a procedure to test for cervical cancer changes in your cervical cells. Early detection gives you a greater chance at a cure.

Virtually pain free, a colposcopy is a quick and easy way to find cell changes in your cervix that may turn into cancer.

Contraceptive Counseling

Helping you determine what matters to you most and suits you best when it comes to birth control and your health.

Hormonal replacement therapy

Natural Treatments to alleviate symptoms common during perimenopause and menopause.

What You Need To Know

Obstetrics FAQs

You will need to have a referral forwarded to our office either by a family physician or urgent care clinic. Dr. Rubabaza is a sought after obstetrician and unfortunately we are only able to accommodate a specific number of patients per due date month. Have your referral sent as soon as possible to increase your likelihood of acceptance.

If you are under 20 weeks pregnant, you will need to visit the ER, however, if you are 20 weeks pregnant and above, you can go directly to labour and delivery at Lakeridge Health Ajax/Pickering.

For uncomplicated, routine care, patients will be seen every 4 weeks until 28 weeks. Bi-weekly appointments begin at 30 weeks and continue until weekly appointments begin at 37 weeks. For patients with complicated pregnancies or concurrent conditions, appointment timelines may vary.

During your initial appointment, you will meet with our clinic nurse Samantha where you will complete a comprehensive health history and any missing or needed tests will be ordered. You will then return 2-3 weeks later to meet with Dr. Rubabaza.

Their telephone number is (905) 683-2320, extension 11201.

Again, this is determined depending on each individual pregnancy and what we are monitoring. However, most routine care patients will have a dating ultrasound in early pregnancy which is followed by another at 12 weeks to complete the Enhanced First Trimester Screening. The anatomy scan is completed between 19-21 weeks and a third trimester growth scan is done between 30-32 weeks.
